Several months ago I noticed something in the bookstores that hadn’t really caught my attention before, but which must have been growing steadily these last few years, and that was the overwhelming about of zombie novels that seemed to be lining the shelves of the horror section, almost as if they are a genera within a genera, which is why I have given them there own space on this webpage. Most of these novels aren’t that great, as I have learned through reading them, the pages filled with typos that even a blind editor should have caught, and stories which in the past would never have made it past the query process for most major publishers, but since their is now a huge craving for these stories, one which was begun with Internet zombie sites featuring such tales, publishers are trying to churn them out as fast as possible, hoping that the bloody covers and the promise of another band of survivors fighting off the zombie hoards will be enough to part the reader from his money. I am one of those readers, and while most of the books I have purchased are crap, ones which should never have been published, others are quite good, and those good ones will be reviewed here on this page, so that readers can go into the bookstore with some idea on which books to buy. In the future I may also include a list of books that I have bought but stopped reading due to poor storylines, unrealistic characters and excessive errors, but for now I don’t really want to criticize writers who probably worked hard on those novels, ones who might write better ones in the future.
