Return of the Living Dead was the first zombie movie I ever saw, and while at the time I wasn’t really all that impressed with it given my disinterest in zombie movies (I only watched it because it was on Joe Bob Briggs Monster Vision) it has since grown to be my favorite of the zombie genera; a genera I have been exploring like crazy ever since my discovery that zombie books seem to be taking over the horror section within bookstores.  Now, there are several things I like about this movie, the first of which are the zombies themselves.  In many movies I have seen the zombies are always these stupid brain dead lumps of flesh that walk around biting    

to not enjoy this movie, though I’m sure there are those out there who didn’t.  

Unfortunately it is going to be a while before I get to see the next movie in this series since the video store by me doesn’t carry it and the online rental website I belong to has it marked as a very long wait.  Could this be a sign that the next movie is just as a good as the first one, or is there a long wait due to how few copies the online video rental suppliers carry?  Either way I can’t wait to find out, and once I do I will then be able to move on to the more accessible Return of the Living Dead sequels.
